Ready to take your knitting to the next level? Knitting in the round is a crucial skill required for making hats, socks, sleeves, cowls, toys and more. You'll be joined by Emily, our in-house knitting expert, who will be walking us through the foundations of knitting in the round.
Together we'll cover:
• 3 Different ways to knit in the round and the pros & cons of each one
• Using DPNs (double pointed needles)
• Magic Loop (using one 40” needle)
• Two Circular Needle Method
For this workshop, you’ll need to bring your own supplies.
Supplies from home:
• Practice Yarn
• Circular Knitting Needle 16 inches in length, in a size that matches your yarn
• Circular Knitting Needle 40 inches in length, in a size that matches your yarn

Class discussion will include demonstrations with the optional needles and discussion about why they are optional.
Note: This class is designed for those who already have basic knitting skills or have completed our Learn to Knit series.
Instructor: Emily Stauffer is a San Francisco-based yarn lover with a lifetime of crochet & knitting skills, and 10 years of teaching experience. As a pale child, stuck inside with grandma and the great aunts all summer, Emily took to fiber arts like a fish to water. A hook or two needles, it doesn't matter as long as there are lots of colors. She's got tips & tricks for everyone from beginning crocheters to seasoned knitters. You can meet Emily in the shop on Sundays or check out her Instagram @fogknits
