Needle Felting: Shrimp Cocktail Ornamant Workshop | Monday, December 1, 6:30-9pm

  • Learn three fun needle felting techniques with this beginner-friendly workshop and leave with a shrimp cocktail inspired ornament, ready to hang or gift. Risa joins us to share how to felt wool on wool, over a premade wool form and directly on to fabric. You’ll leave class with these techniques as well as a kit to take home with all the tools you'll need to make more ornaments all season long. Great for beginners and also for intermediate felters looking to expand their techniques, and anyone looking to create memorable, handmade gifts this holiday.

Instructor: Risa Iwasaki Culbertson is a fiber artist, letterpress machinist, illustrator, and master crafter living in the Bay Area. The abundance of Risa’s work is silly and playful which is visually approachable at face value but, there is also a personal story behind each of her quirky creations. She uses the power of play as a vehicle to strengthen connections, replenish one’s energy, problem solve, inspire, and be inspired. Her colorful artwork has deeper meaning but, it is meant for all to enjoy.
