Hand-spun hemp from the Indian Himalayas

We love the rugged natural texture of hemp and this one has been a weaving go-to for us for years. Our Himalayan Hemp cord collection is incredibly strong and resilient, and is great for all kinds of projects. Beyond weaving applications, think bracelets and necklaces, crocheted or knit market totes, coasters and plant hangers. And give this cord a few washes and it'll become increasingly soft.

We're very excited about the sourcing on this one too. Our hemp is grown in the Indian Himalayas and then hand-spun by women through a rural artisan network that provides flexible employment opportunities. Hemp is a wonder fiber in so many ways: it requires minimal water, naturally repels most pests so isn't treated with pesticides, and absorbs significant CO2.
